Can You Help
Harry Donald Henderson,
Bombardier Royal Artillery
Service No. 1710457 6/2
Died 3/12/45 Age 33 on way home for demob.
Dear Sir,
My dad was coming home from Burma to be demobbed in Dec 1945 when the plane was struck by lightning; all the people on board were killed. My mother and I were never offered to go and see his grave, and I wondered if there is any funding by the Royal Artillery for this purpose because I would like to visit my Father’s grave before I'm too old, I'm now 75.
My Father is buried in the Rochefort sur mer Naval Cemetary )(Charente Maritime France)
I would be obliged if you could help.
Thank you,
Jane Grimes.

Gunner George Thomas Pearson
108 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment
On the 12th April 1945 Gunner George Thomas Pearson , age 25, was killed in action while serving with 108 Light Anti-Aircraft Regiment, he is buried at Becklingen war cemetery in Germany.
His surviving brother who is in ill health would dearly love to know the circumstances surrounding his death , any information relating to George or his Regiment would be greatly appreciated, not only by his brother but also by his nephew David who is also trying to establish the whereabouts of his uncle's death and where he was taken.
My own understanding is that 108 Lt.A.A.Regiment was a divisional unit of 52nd ( Lowland ) Infantry Division who were assigned to the 1st Canadian Army and took part in the liberation of Arnhem on 12th April the same day as George was killed.
If anyone has any information which they think will give comfort to the Pearson family please get in touch using the Contact Page on the left.
